Miss America Pageant

The Miss America Pageant began in 1921 and the Miss America Scholarship Program is the largest provider of scholarship money to young women in the world. Miss America is selected based on five competition areas: private interview, talent, lifestyle and fitness in swimsuit, evening wear, and onstage question. Amanda Kozak, Miss Georgia USA 2008, also won Miss Georgia America 2006, and was second runner up to Lauren Nelson in the Miss America 2007 pageant. Amanda Kozak is the first Miss Georgia USA to have also held the Miss Georgia America title. If Amanda places in the top five at Miss USA she will become the fifth woman in history to have placed in the top five at the national level in Miss America and Miss USA. Amanda has been featured in our Cinderella’s Closet Prom Magazine and we have dressed her over the last 5 years while she has competed.
