The best way to make sure you get a great fitting prom dress is to check the size chart of the designer prom dress you are looking at and compare your measurements. Remember, nearly all prom gowns will require some alterations to get that perfect fit.

How do I measure myself for a prom gown or pageant dress?
The best way to get accurate measurements and find the best fit for your prom dress is to enlist a friend to help you. Measure your bust at the fullest part with your arms down by your side. Then measure your waist at its smallest part. Remember prom gown measurements are at your natural waist, not necessarily where your jeans sit. You should measure your hips around the fullest part, this counts your rear end too. Check out the model for a guide.
