A truly family owned business, Alyce Designs was started in 1967 by designer Alyce Hamm and her brother Jean-Paul Hamm. Alyce is a native of Alsace-Lorraine, France and studied design at Paris’s prestigious Ecole de Couture. Alyce says, "It was a dream for me that my company become internationally successful. My designs are worn by women around the world." And her dream has certainly come true. Alyce Designs have been around for more than 30 years.

Alyce Designs have been seen on many famous faces and in numerous movies. Actress Carol Burnett wore an Alyce gown in the movie classic “A Wedding”, Meg Ryan donned an Alyce dress in “When Harry Met Sally”, and Denise Richards wore an Alyce pageant dress in “Drop Dead Gorgeous”. Alyce dresses have also been seen on Miss USA, Miss France, Miss Universe, Miss World, and Olympian figure skater Barbara Ann Scott. All in the Alyce Family

Alyce’s Creative Director has been with the company for a while now. Claudine Hamm, Alyce’s niece and Jean-Paul’s daughter, began holding fashion shows in the Alyce atelier at 6! She was modeling for Alyce Designs at 13 and was a designer for the company at 20. She now is the company’s Creative Director, overseeing everything from design to advertising, and spends her time between southern China, Chicago, and New York. Claudine says, “You need to excavate honest and natural feelings deep within yourself to create a collection that really matters to a variety of women. Fashion is created in the urgency of the moment; it should not be rehearsed, otherwise styles may appear ingenuous."

From Best Dressed Barbies to Designer Dresses

Nathalie Lambert, Alyce’s Director of Design and Production, has been working with the company for 18 years. She says she has always had a love of fashion and kept her Barbies at the height of fashion. Nathalie is Jean-Paul’s niece and Alyce’s goddaughter. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Business from Harper College in Illinois. Nathalie’s gorgeous custom pageant dresses have been worn by Miss Teen and Miss Illinois. Nathalie is the mother of 5 year old twin girls that she creates infamous Halloween costumes for every year.

Alyce Designs is an international company with showrooms in America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East. CEO, Jean-Paul, is responsible for the innovative ideas that have helped launch the company to international fame.
