Tiffany Designs and Cinderella’s Closet go way back. When I first started Cinderella’s Closet, the owner of Tiffany Designs, Wen, would come by in his van selling wedding gowns. We have both come a long way since that day. Tiffany Designs is one of the largest and most popular of prom dress collections in the United States. In Wen Wu’s (the owner of Tiffany Designs), line of business, “perfection is everything. Under the name House of Wu and with several designer labels, the company designs, imports and distributes the dresses and gowns that for many women mark major life events - weddings, proms, as well as pageants. The business itself has passed some significant benchmarks. Fifteen years ago, Wu traveled from store to store, selling gowns from the trunk of his car. Now he operates out of 45,000 square feet.”

Tiffany Design’s Growing Success
Now that he operates out of 45,000 square feet, “all of
that space is testament to the company's growing success. The House of Wu annually ships about 250,000 gowns to more than 2,800 retail outlets in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. With another shipping facility in China and connections around the world, he has established an international network.”

      Tiffany Designs and the History
Wu, the owner of Tiffany Designs, “ came to the formalwear industry in a roundabout way, drawn by serendipity and opportunity. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from National Ocean University in his nativecountryof Taiwan and then served two years in the Taiwan navy. Upon leaving the military in the early 1980s, Wu decided to continue his studies in the United States.” After graduating he decided on a bridal shop.  Wu initially partnered with the owner of an existing shop, but soon ventured out on his own. That's when he loaded his car with gowns, samples and photographs, and hit the road as a salesman.”

In addition to Wen Wu’s, (owner of Tiffany Designs) , knack for understanding changing fashion, Wu'sengineering background helped him build a solid foundation for the business. It has allowed him to develop a sprawling network of operation that retains the feel of a small, independently owned company.”  Tiffany Designs is not only a great line of prom dresses but a great company that carries stock.  When ever I need a dress I know more than likely I can get it very quickly and that is very important when you are dealing with special events.

What’s in a Name?
Did you know that Tiffany Designs was named after Wen Wu’s daughter.  Yes, that’s right.  Tiffany is the adorable daughter of the King of Prom.  And yes, she always wears a Tiffany Designs Prom Dress.
